In Indio’s Shadow Hills High School, CA, hanging anti LGBT posters and wearing badges with anti-gay symbolic by dozens of pupils was considered as a norm, but now the officials of the school changed their minds. At first the administration of the school said that they had no right to tell children what to wear and what opinion to express. There is democracy and teenagers are free either to support gays or to be against them, and the officials are allowed to interfere only in case of bullying and discrimination – that is what they stood on. It is hard to say whether there really cases of LGBT discrimination at the school or this situation caused to big public resonance, but the fact is the fact. All the antigay symbols are removed now.
