The ‘Grey’s anatomy’ star who came out as gay in 2007 said that fortunately it was not dangerous for him to say out loud that he is gay (but he received many rude and homophobic claims even from his own colleagues). But there are people who are much less lucky than he is – they are hurt, bullied, beaten, ostracized, kicked out of their homes and even murdered just for being the way they are.
The actor says that it is important for gay people to get together. Those who came out already should support those who are only preparing for this and inspire them, showing on their own example that there is nothing to be afraid of. He says that there are lots of people who had to suffer for him to have his story and he is deeply grateful to them for it. He is officially married to his partner and considers it incredible.
