Emma Maltby, the headdteacher of St Mary the Virgin Primary School in Sussex was going to provide lessons of tolerance which would touch in part the LGBT issue. The parents were informed about it in advance, but not all of them welcomed this idea – some parents expressed their negative opinion just verbally, calling it a nonsense and saying that their children are under thread, others complained on the school administration through the press, and there were also those who had made a decision to take their children away from school.

However, the headteacher still thinks that the idea of anti-bullying lessons is right and she is not going to give it up. Teaching children to be tolerant means instilling right ideas and values into their minds.
