The Paper Towns actress and supermodel Cara Delevingne addressed the reasons she decided to open up about her depression.
She said: “I came to realize that work and getting others’ approval isn’t the most important thing. Yes, your career is very important—but it’s not the most important.
Of course I was proud of my accomplishments, but I wasn’t genuinely happy.”
Suggesting she would step away from modelling, she said: “I’m spending more time doing the stuff
I love. And I’ve been able to do better work because of it.”
While promoting her new movie Suicide Squad she spoke with E! about the reasons why she wanted to be open about her battle with depression going on to say: Mental illness goes unseen, but hopefully I don’t want it to be unheard.”
