British actor Russell Tovey hopes that in the next few years, the players of the Premier League will make coming outs.
Although being the first is not always easy, the actor convinced that the time has come when the players can openly declare their homosexuality.
“I hope that in the coming years will be a person who will be brave enough to do it,” – he said in an interview The Evening Standard.
The actor added that coming out does not interfere with his career, but on the contrary, gives the athlete a few advantages.
“I am sure that the first openly gay in the Premier League will be able to get a multi-million dollar sponsorship deals,” – continued Russell Tovey. Actor with an ulterior motive spoke about football. London’s LGBT Festival BFI FLARE-2016 will take place premiere of “The Pass”. In the picture Tovey plays the role of a major league player, hiding his homosexuality.
Recall, the only player of the Premier League, who dared on the coming out, was Justin Fashanu, who committed suicide in 1998.
