Food and Drug Administration, FDA of the US Ministry of Health launched a new anti-smoking campaign costing more than $ 35 million for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people.
FDA links to a study according to which LGBT people are most affected by this bad habit. For example, of the more than 2 million LGBT teens in the United States 800,000 smokes.
The campaign addressed to the LGBT, encourages them to quit smoking, to prevent tens of thousands of potential deaths caused by tobacco use. It will pass through all kinds of media, as well as by the so-called “street” work.
Some public service announcements produced by the campaign, are already available.
