Critics praised the new Indian film about a professor-gay

Last week in India was released in rent the movie “Aligarh” – based on a true story the story of how the film crew of local channel illegally entered the house of 64-year-old professor and took to the camera as he has sex with another man. The film caused a strong reaction from critics.

Professor Ramachandra Siras, head of the department of modern Indian languages at Aligarh Muslim University, the prestigious University of the Arts in Uttar Pradesh, was dismissed for “misconduct” in 2010.

Two months later he was found dead in his apartment on campus. The police came to the conclusion that it was a suicide. His death was another example of the difficulties faced by homosexuals in India.

The film was directed by Hansal Mehta, the main role played Manoj Bajpayee. The biggest edition of India has already given a positive assessment picture.
