The UK government polls citizens if age verification is needed on porn sites

In 2015 the ruling Conservative Party of Great Britain promised to protect children from pornography. To this end, the Conservatives proposed an all porn sites mandatory age verification visitors.

On the website of the government there was a page where everyone can speak about this initiative. Internet service providers, charities, academics and generally to everyone invited to participate in the survey.

However, some security experts believe that these measures are doomed to failure: on free pornographic resources difficult to introduce age verification visitors.

On page survey the government proposes to make age verification mandatory for access to the materials, which the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has rated 18+.

“We will be glad to hear the views of parents, schools, child protection experts, Internet providers, as well as representatives of the porn industry and the platforms on which are placed pornographic materials,” – says a greeting to the survey page.

Baroness Shields, the Minister for Internet security, said: “We want to be sure that children do not have access to pornography Measures to protect children from such materials are required not only in the real world, but also on the Internet”.
