A famous musician decided to cancel his show in North Carolina. His statement on Facebook tells: ‘As my fans know, I have spent a lifetime advocating against discrimination towards those with physical disabilities and have been a vocal advocate for treating all people equally. As such, it is only after much deliberation that I have decided to cancel tomorrow’s concert in North Carolina as a stand against House Bill 2.’

Perlman, 70, has performed worldwide and throughout the United States during his career including a State Dinner at the White House honoring Queen Elizabeth II and at a Presidential Inauguration. He walks with crutches and performs sitting down because his legs were left weakened after contracting polio at the age of four. He also uses an electric Amigo scooter for mobility.
