Interpreter-transgender person who worked in the company Valve Corporation, filed a lawsuit against his former employer for sex discrimination and labor exploitation. Amount of claim, dated April 12, 2016, is 3.1 million dollars.
According to the plaintiff, whose name was not revealed in the investigation materials (only initials A. M.), after the change of the floor immediate supervisor started calling her “it” and create a hostile environment in the team in relation to it.
In addition, the employee was fired after she complained to the personnel department that the company uses the free labor of people interested in its game projects and provide for their text translations.
In its written response, representatives Valve Corporation rejected all accusations and demanded from the court to reject the lawsuit.
