Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) organized the annual study by counting the number of LGBT characters in Hollywood films released in the last year.
The study found that the only studios in feature films in 2015 that there were no LGBT characters became Paramount and Disney. Also, according to estimates the organization, only 22 of the 126 films – and it is about 17.5% – was attended by gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.
Most LGBT characters counted in the study organizers pictures studio Lionsgate – 8 out of 24 films, released in the last year, were presented characters with a homosexual orientation.
As a result of the study revealed that 77% of LGBT characters represented in Hollywood films of 2015, were gay, 23% – lesbians, 9% – bisexual, and only 5% – transgender. Most gay men appeared in films of comedy – 51.9%.
