Nyle DiMarco, the America’s Next Top Model sexually fluid winner, has recently become a winner of one more popular TV show – Dancing with the stars. And he probably made history, because he is the first deaf winner and the first LGBT person in history (and it includes 22 seasons), who could win the show.
Nyle’s final freestyle dance impressed the judges so deeply that they could not remain indifferent counting that performance to the best they have ever seen. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said: ‘What was so profound about it is not only do I see a man who wants to prove that he can dance … but I also see a man that is proving he can change the world through dance.’
Following his win, DiMarco said: ‘I really wanted to connect with the audience and teach them what it really means to be deaf’.
