Dolly Parton is beloved by LGBT community (no wonder, she is fabulous!) and there often were gossips that she was gay herself. Her husband used to be in the shadow, and Mrs. Parton often appeared on public with her female best friend Judy Ogle. But now the star decides to put everything on the right place.
Dolly ensures that she is not in romantic relationships with her best friend. Two women know each other since they were secondary school students and love each other as deeply as it only can be, but it is probably not that kind of love which exists between Dolly and her husband for 50 years already. If it were so, Parton would not keep it in secret.
Dolly’s mother, Avie Lee, the couple’s minister and the minister’s wife (who were all at the first wedding) made up the wedding party for the renewal. The country and western singer celebrated her golden anniversary with her husband in style with a big dress and lots of pictures – a far throw from how their first wedding went down. Mrs Parton said to People: “I’ll have a beautiful wedding dress, ’cause I didn’t have a big, long wedding dress when we got married and we’ve got a suit for him, so we’re going to dress up and take a bunch of pictures.” To help benefit her charity, Imagine Library, Parton intends on selling the celebratory anniversary photos.
