The Sinn Fein’s Health Minister, Michelle O’Neill, announced she was lifting the lifetime ban on gay and bisexual men donating blood and a journalist from Belfast William Crawley wanted to answer this statement. Instead he made a typo which caused a rather confusing situation.
“The lifting of the lifetime blood ban on gay/bisexual men in NI brings NI into lube with GB: a one year referral system”, he tweeted. And before he could understand what had happened, the reaction of audience was out of control. Crawley immediately deleted the tweet saying that it would be better for him to come back to postcards, because he is just unable to understand how the new technologies like Twitter really work and he needs som help in it. Autocorrect is a very useful invention, but this is probably not that case.
