A new video hopes to pay tribute to the 49 killed in a mass shooting hate attack at the Orlando Pulse club. The video campaign hopes to give people a chance to mourn those lost, and pay tribute to those injured in the attack which took place two weekends ago.

A statement with the video reads: “it is important to confront hate face-to-face and let the LGBT community and allies know they are not alone. #RestInPRIDE is one of the first call-to-action campaigns created to spread a message of love and support to people who are feeling alone or scared to live proudly.” Featured in the video are friends and family of those killed and injured, as well as celebrities Rumer Willis, Wilson Cruz, Greg Louganis and Candis Cayne.

The video features the song ‘Light’ by Pultizer Prize-winning musicl Next to Normal. Those featured in the video talk about real memories of those lost in Orlando, as well as those in the video painting their faces with rainbow “war paint” – to show that action still needs to be taken.

The campaign urges people to upload their own #RestInPride videos of their proudest memories, on the @RestInPride Facebook page. “Hear their names, see their faces, feel their stories and know the lives of our 49 brothers and sisters were not lost in vain but live on in the collective heart of our community. This is a moment to be filled with unwavering pride. #RestInPRIDE was created to collect the proudest moments of the LGBT community and its allies and share them across the globe. The magnitude of our community’s progress will not be shaken or minimized by hate; rather made stronger through our love and pride. The Orlando victim’s lives were taken too soon so these new memories are shared in their honor.”
