LGBT activists say: Israeli celebrities refuse to participate in the concert in memory of victims of a gay parade


Activists of Jerusalem LGBT center “Byte Patois” stated that the famous actors and musicians refuse to participate in the tribute concert Shira Banki.

The concert devoted to 16-year-old girl who was killed by a religious fanatic in the past year, will be held within the gay parade, which will be held in Jerusalem in 11 days. LGBT Center holds a concert together with the family of the dead girl.

Organizers of the event said that while none of the dozens of celebrities to whom activists have called for help, did not agree to take part in the concert.

It was reported earlier that the ultra-orthodox Shlisel, has arranged slaughter on a gay parade in Jerusalem, was sentenced to life imprisonment. Shlisel Yishai attacked the participants of the gay pride parade in July last year, wounding six people. One of the victims is 16-year-old Shira Banki, she died from his injuries. In 2005 Shlisel has already attacked the marchers.
