24-year-old supermodel Andreja Pejic told the magazine ES Magazine, that she feels due to the fact that the whole world knew about her transgender transition. According to her, she does not regret a single minute of the decision, which saved her from many awkward moments.
“When I go on a date, I do not have to worry about what if he knows,” – says the model. Andreja Pejic was born in Bosnia, and at birth she was given the name of Andrew. When she was eight years old, Andreja’s parents immigrated to Australia and settled in Melbourne. At age 16 Andreja worked in “McDonald’s”, when a modeling agency paid her attention. Pejic said that she illegally bought drugs online, delaying puberty and wanted to earn enough money on the podium for the operation, after which planned to withdraw from the fashion industry.
In 2014, Pejic made surgery for sex reassignment. By this time she has been schowing three years a male and female clothing collection for Jean-Paul Gaultier in Paris.
In 2015, she became the first transgender model to appear on the pages of Vogue US, and in March her picture graced the cover of the Spanish edition of the international magazine Marie Claire.
Andrea was planning to leave the modeling business, “But then I thought, well why would I? I put so much work into this career and there are surprising things around me now that are possible only in our time!”.
