Melbourne, 1996. Home of the Golden Age of Australian sports swimming school. 16-year-old Danny Kelly enters into an elite school for boys, and takes the first step toward his cherished dream, the Olympic gold medal.
At first he could not find his place among the pupils of a private school, teenagers from higher strata of society. But the support of the well-known trainer Frank Torm and friendly rivalry with teammate Martin Taylor help Danny get started, and he begins to prepare for becoming the youngest champion Australian swimmer, irrepressible Barracuda.
In this race for success all Danny’s environment was involved. He falls into a world where only victory counts. Does “Barracuda” will be able to meet everyone’s expectations and realize his dream in front of all of Australia?
