In the counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, in eastern England, a rainbow patrol car appeared on the streets.
Thus, the local police have decided to speak out against hate crimes and to show support for their LGBT counterparts. The press release states that the rainbow car is a “certificate of installation for equality both in the workplace and in society in general”.
“I am glad to see the rainbow car on the roads of Norfolk and Suffolk. This shows our continued commitment to support a wide variety of communities, and is a clear signal against hate crimes and I hope that it will encourage victims of hate crimes to the police..” – Constable Charlie Hall said from Norfolk.
The car is already patrolling the streets during the gay pride parade in Norwich, capital of Norfolk. Of course, the police themselves took part in the procession.
