The Harry Potter creator refused to speak about Dumbledore’s possible coming out in Fantastic Beasts film series. It has been revealed that a young Dumbledore will appear in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series of films. Johnny Depp will play Dumbledore’s rival (and maybe ex-lover) Grindewald as it was confirmed earlier this week.

And Mrs. Rowling refused to clarify her previous hints on relationships between two wizards: “Obviously it’s a five-part story, so there’s lots to unpack in that relationship. I will say you will see Dumbledore as a younger man, and quite a troubled man, because he wasn’t always the sage… As far as his sexuality is concerned, watch this space.”
