Trump instead of gay drama

Dustin Lance Black’s mini-series When We Rise won’t be aired on ABC, because that day the President of the United Stated States Donald Trump is going to address to joint session of Congress. When We Rise will premiere, as scheduled 27 February. It will take a break the next night while Trump speaks then resume broadcasting Wednesday through Friday, 1-3 March in two-hour episodes. ‘If Donald Trump actually watches the show he might like the show,’ the screenwriter said, ‘I think a lot of people who voted for Donald Trump will love this show. I don’t see this show as trying to speak to only half of the country. I didn’t write the show for half the country.’ Black had acknowledged that the miniseries ‘is under attack by the alt-right’ which supports Trump but said ‘this show is not a war. We are not against anyone. This shows how we are related. It’s a conversation about what its like to be a minority in this word and how important it is for us to work together for equality.’
