The British Labour leader came under fire at the LGBT event where he made a speech saying that people choose to be gay. At the LGBT History Month Corbyn claimed: ‘We’re with you, we’re in solidarity with you. Your triumphs are our triumphs. Our defense of you is a defense of all of humanity. The right of people to practice what they want to practice rather than be criminalized, brutalized, and murdered just because they chose to be gay, they chose to be lesbian, they were LGBT in any form.’ At the end of the speech he commemorated the British people who struggled from the homophobic laws of the past, in part Oscar Wilde. After the speech Corbyn behaved as usually, speaking to people and taking photos. He probably had no intention to hurt anyone and he did not completely realized how other people could understand his words.
