Adele could not overcome tears paying tribute to George Michael

The celebrity who made a real triumph on this year Grammy ceremony, sang there in memory of the music legend George Michael. She stopped in the middle of the song because her emotions took over. “I can’t mess this up for him!” the celebrity said asking to start the song from the beginning, although it was untypical for the livestreaming TV, but she asked to start again. But the song was re-started, as Adele gave a deeply moving, slowed down rendition of the song, bringing many to tears. She received a standing ovation from the audience. Adele collected the awards almost in all nominations she was represented in, including the best album and the best female vocal performance.

On winning the Best Album gong she tore it apart. Literally, she broke it in two because she believed that her colleague Beyonce deserves it as well. “I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious but my life is Beyonce, and the album to me, the Lemonade album, Beyonce, was so monumental, and so well thought out.”, Adele said in a speech, “And so beautiful and soul bearing and we all got to see another side of you that you don’t always let us see, and we appreciate that. All of us artists f**king adore you,” she added. “You are our light. And the way that you make me and my friends feel, the way you make my black friends feel is empowering, and you make them stand up for themselves. And I love you. I always have. And I always will.”
