Bruno Mars paid tribute to Prince


The R&B star paid tribute to the dead music icon Prince at Grammy ceremony. Bruno dressed like Prince and had the similar guitar. Superstar Prince died aged 57 last year. Bruno Mars said that it took months of preparations for the performance to be perfect. And watching Bruno’s tribute we see that it was definitely worth it. Mars covered the 1984 track just as the star would’ve wanted, without modern changes to the original. The singer rose to fame in 1982 with his album 1999. The international star performed at the 2007 Superbowl, and won seven Grammys, selling more than 100 million records. Prince’s score for Purple Rain in 1985 won an Oscar for Best Original Score. Prince is one more gay icon to whom the Grammy contestants paid tributes. Multiple times Grammy winner and LGBT activist Adele devoted her performance to George Michael.
