One of five LGBT people in France says about supporting Marine Le Pen, who radically opposes LGBT rights and speaks about the plans to roll back same-sex marriages. Le Pen is a leader of a nationwide poll and the majority of French voters show support to her, that is why there are gay people showing their loyalty to madame Le Pen in spite of her plans to reject their rights. Of the 3200 men polled by the app, 19.2% are voting for Le Pen, slightly lower than her standing nationally, with a whopping 38.1% preferring centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron, who recently vowed to champion LGBT rights. Left-winger Benoît Hamon is third-placed among gay men on 18.5%, despite low support in the national polls; while scandal-plagued anti-LGBT conservative Francois Fillon attracted just 7.3% of gay voters despite being tied with Macron nationally. Le Pen’s policy seems attractive for the Frenchmen (both gay and straight) because she plans to provide security and education reforms, the fear of equal marriage to be replaced with the modernized form of civil unions plays a secondary role here.
