Russia thinks over banning ‘Beauty and the Beast’ because of a gay moment

As the film director announced a gay love line between Gaston and his servant, Russian officials decided to prohibit the movie, because it goes contrary the strict anti-gay laws in the country. LGBT content cannot be shown on Russian screens. According to the BBC, the Russian MPs claimed that the movie propagated a sinful behavior. In pert, the Culture Minister of Russia claimed that ‘As soon as we get a copy of the film with relevant paperwork for distribution, we will consider it according to the law.’ Although it is necessary to admit that such a conclusion is preterm, because the MPs haven’t seen the film yet, so its future is still in question. Vitaly Milonov, the scandalous MP from the leading party in Russia, already claims that the measures to totally ban the movie are required. Russian actor Pavel Derevyanko told the state-run TV channel Russia 24 that he would not allow his child to see such a movie.
