One more fashion designer rejected an offer to dress the Trumps. Posen, who has previously worked as a judge on Project Runway and is the head of the Brooks Brothers’ womenswear line has said that he is protesting the presidency as much as he could – by not dressing Melania or anybody else among the Trumps. The gay designer said that the Trump administration’s approach to LGBT rights, immigration, women’s rights and Planned Parenthood were all the issues that are under question and that make the designer feel deeply upset, because these issues touch him personally and he just uses his voice o speak about it and he wants other people to join him in it. Christian Siriano, another Project Runway judge, also said he would not dress the Trumps because they don’t divide the same values. Siriano and Posen are joined by other big name designers including Marc Jacobs, who said that: “personally, I’d rather put my energy into helping out those who will be hurt by [Donald] Trump and his supporters”. Jacobs is on the list alongside Tom Ford and Vogue’s André Leon Talley, who said that he would not support the Trump administration even though they were friends prior to the election.
