Gay community targeted by church leaflets claiming homosexuality does not exist

A church in Arkansas is pushing leaflets through people’s letterboxes claiming that homosexuality is a myth, because God created a man and a woman, and then they begun to ‘engage in the acts of immorality’.It goes on to claim that homosexuals are actually eunuchs, and encourages them to abstain from “immoral” gay sex. In a response to KNWA, Pastor Paul Caldwell of Lighthouse Baptist Church claimed the leaflets were meant to show “love” by convincing people to renounce their sexuality, the pastor insists that God loves LGBT people and they are welcomed in the church, this was the key massage. If it is really so, then we are a little bit misunderstood about the verbal form chosen to express love. And so are the LGBT locals, their neighbors and friends. Local resident Joanna McCusker was one of many who discovered a leaflet had been left at her home.
She said: “I was just offended that they would be going door-to-door in this community with that information. I think most neighbours were pretty offended. There was a young boy who was attaching some sort of literature to our door. It’s very sad that they’re using children to promote their message. If you read their literature you’ll see that they don’t actually believe that there are such thing as gay people, it’s almost a science-fiction idea that they have.”
