Damien Hirst painted George Michael to raise money for HIV+ people

The painting, named Beautiful Beautiful George Michael Love Painting, is a canvass art made from household glass. It is planned to cell it at the charity gala by MTV Re:Define. The event, due to be held in Texas on Friday night, will be co-chaired by the foundation George Michael created with his former partner Kenny Goss. Boss Georgia Arnold told The Sun: “This year is poignant as we celebrate George. We’ve been honoured by his and Kenny’s support. We look forward to continuing to raise awareness and support for our mission, and especially thank all the artists for their involvement and generosity.” More details of George Michael’s burial have been shared since his death on Christmas Day. His burial plot, in Highgate Cemetry, north London, is to be next to his late mother. Michael’s beloved mum, Lesley, died exactly 20 years ago in 1997. The star had always intended to be buried next to her, buying the burial plot ready for when the occasion came around.
