Australian racers urged people to stand for equality with a rainbow car

The car design was introduced on Formula One Australia this weekend. Brad Jones Racing released a statement about the supercar, reading that they support equality of all people regardless of gender or sexual preferences. “When Brad Jones Racing had the idea to run the ‘Supporting Equality’ livery, Holden were happy to be on board. Having done a similar campaign recently, Holden stand up for equality and supports their community in this space”, the statement said. Same-sex marriages were not particularly mentioned in it, although it is clear that the company owners used the top sport event in the country to let people know that equality is not similarity, equality is being different and proud of it, this is what they demand for Australia in every sphere of life, including sports. Brad Jones, the owner of the team, said in a separate statement: “It’s an opportunity for BJR and Holden to celebrate motorsport and show that anyone can get involved and enjoy the sport.”
