Spice girls hit was transformed to promote safe sex


A singer has covered the famous Spice Girls hit 2 become 1 changing the lyrics to insist on the necessity of contraception. 20 years since the ballad was released, artist K Anderson has reimagined the song as a same-sex romantic story. The acoustic cover changes some lyrics to things such as “boys and boys feel good together” and uses a condom instead of percussion instrument. He said: “I always wanted to be in a girl band, and there is no finer than the Spice Girls!” Anderson added that he thought it would be fun to do the cover, but also wanted to use it a s an important message. “Since one of the song’s messages is about the importance of safe sex, I thought it could be fun to use condoms as my percussion in the track. And the weren’t getting much use in my bedside drawer anyway.”
