A clash between Israeli Labor’s leadership contest and Britney’s concert became rather problematic for the local officials. Both events were arranged for July 3rd in neighbouring venues at Tel Aviv’s Exhibition Grounds conference and concert space, there was no security left for the labor conference because of Britney’s show. Britney had already taken almost all of the security officials and ushers available in the Israeli capital, forcing Labor to change their leaderships plans. The awkward coincidence has forced the leader of the Israeli opposition, Isaac Herzog, to postpone Labor’s primary elections the following day. A Labor party spokesperson told the Times of Israel that the decision to postpone would “make it easier for people to reach polling stations”, and, presumably, to see Britney’s performance. They also confirmed that there had been “a difficulty in recruiting security guards”.
