The Autonomous Space Agency Network (NASA backwards) thinks that not only the USA express protest against Trump. And even not only the Earth. So it’s time to send protests against the POTUS into space.Floating a weather balloon up to 90,000 feet, ASAN attached a huge printed tweet saying that people are highly disappointed with Trump’s policy. It quoted Edgar Mitchell, a late NASA astronaut, who once said that once you’ve been to space, you develop a “global consciousness … an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it.” Mithcell added: “From out there on the Moon, international politics look so petty,” Mitchell continued. “You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a b*tch.’” And actually, only the last phrase was printed to be sent into space. ASAN, which says it aims to encourage “DIY space exploration”, said the tweet was the “first protest in space”. Although, it was just a particular true – the anti-Trump balloon did not go out of the Earth atmosphere. The balloon was flown in solidarity with the March for Science. “In solidarity with the upcoming March for Science (4/22), the Autonomous Space Agency Network is proud to have executed the first protest in near space (~90,000 ft),” the group wrote on YouTube.
