Lavell Crawford thinks gay men should try to be with women

The comic, whose father is gay, still considers LGBT people to be too strange. In an interview with VLAD TV, Crawford says a series of remarks sounding offensive for gay people. ‘No matter how much they’re getting accepted, it’s still f*cking weird, he says. ‘Now they’re trying to get their own bathrooms and sh*t [even though] it’s still not the norm.’ he said although insisting that as a son of gay father he just cannot be a homophobe. The father did not bring Lavell up, but as he says, ‘when he came back into out lives, we found out he was gay. I didn’t know how to react at first. And then I didn’t know if it was hereditary and I was gonna have a gay switch go on.’ He added that he was not joking at gays because he was afraid of gay mafia’s revenge. He mentions the heat Tracy Morgan took after he said in a stand-up routine that he would stab his son if he found out he was gay. ‘Gay people shut down sh*t man.’ Then he goes on to say that you shouldn’t be able to be gay until you are 25. ‘Parents need to teach their kids ‘to be men and women before we try and put a moniker of gay and lesbian and sh*t. Okay, you’re gay – 25 I think you can be gay. If you decide you want to be gay at 25, that’s fine. But try p*ssy for the first years – try p*ssy out. Young lady, try a d*ck out. You’re gonna find a good d*ck out there.’
