90-year-old former soldier of the British army Peter Davies, who took part in the Second World War, began hormonal therapy to become Patricia.
“I knew from the age of three that I was a transgender, I had a friend named Patricia, and I wanted to be called that way. My mother was calm about my statements,” – Davis said in an interview with Mirror.
Davis adds that whole life was afraid of condemnation, because in her youth, society was negative about transgender people. Only after 30 years of living together, Peter was able to confess to his wife that in fact he has long considered himself as Patricia.
“If I confessed, doctors would have subjected me to electroconvulsive therapy, which was considered effective, but doctors didn’t understand that this was not being treated,” Davis recalls.
