Stephen Colbert won’t face FCC action because of a joke about Trump and Putin

Stephen Colbert will face no action from the FCC after he joked about the POTUS claiming he was good to satisfy the Russian leader. The joke was one of various Colbert made during an opening monologue on Monday 1 May during which he took aim at Trump over a suddenly-ended interview he did with CBS News’ John Dickerson. Federal Communications Commission released a statement saying: “Consistent with standard operating procedure, the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has reviewed the complaints and the material that was the subject of these complaints.
“The Bureau has concluded that there was nothing actionable under the FCC’s rules.” Colbert claimed he dis not regret of making such a joke and admitted that he insulted Trump intently, willing to respond to Trump offending his friend.Although he is not going too say sorry because Trump as a President faces a lot of controversial remarks addressed to him and he must have known how to react on them.
