A rugby player proposes to his boyfriend at Pride in London

An incredible story of real love between two men. They showed to the whole world about their feelings.

Pride in London is fast becoming famous for its ridiculously romantic marriage proposals. But this Pride proposal may well be the most adorable yet.

The London-based Kings Cross Steelers were founded back in 1995 as the first ever gay inclusive rugby union club. They’re a regular fixture at Pride, and had been posting regular updates throughout the day.

During this year’s Parade, they looked to be doing a normal rugby line out set-piece for the crowds. Fernando Ferreira stepped out from his team and sauntered over to the barrier. There he met eyes with his boyfriend Greg Woodford and dropped to one knee…

Well, you know the rest, but you can watch the video in its full wonderful glory. And of course, he said yes – and Fernando and Greg are now engaged to be married. Also marching with the Kings Cross Steelers this year was former England captain and Harlequins flanker Chris Robshaw, who got plenty of attention from those in attendance.

Pride in London was a significant and sunny success, attracting people from all over the city, country and globe.
