Leaders of The Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) move decided to fund $26 million to help pro-LGBT candidates win at all levels of government and assist the activists as they take action to block Donald Trump’s plans.
“It’s not enough to resist the hateful policies and attacks coming from the Trump-Pence regime. We’ve got to accelerate the pace of progress toward full equality and secure protections for LGBTQ people in states and communities across the country. That’s why we’re going on offense with the largest grassroots expansion in HRC’s 37-year history”, said the President of HRC Chad Griffin. The group plans to send staff and cash to Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin—each a state with a top-tier Senate race. Already, the group has two-dozen paid staffers focused on 2018, with another 20 in the interview process.
As you see, LGBT activists are managing not to trail behind the current Government and try their best to improve the standards of living of LGBT community.
