It’s really great when person wants to protect others, like Caitlyn Jenner does. Transgender athlete and reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner is seriously considering running for a seat in the Californian senate. Jenner has once again confirmed that she is considering a political career after she suggested that she was “looking into” becoming a politician in order to fight President Trump’s anti-trans agenda.
Speaking to radio host John Catsimatidis today, the star explained that she was looking into running for a seat in the senate. She said: “Yeah, I would look for a senatorial run. “I like the political side of it. I work very closely with a group called the American Unity Fund whose mission statement is to get the Republican Party to do a better job when it comes to all LGBT issues. That’s my issue.”
Jenner went on to explain that she would use her position in politics to push important issues that affect transgender people directly. “I’m obviously more on the T portion of the LGBT and I want people to understand that. But the political side of it has always been very intriguing to me. “Over the next six months or so, I’ve gotta find out where I can do a better job.
Jenner previously explained that although the Democrats would be undoubtedly better at championing LGBT rights, she was a supporter of the Republican party and feels she should offer her help to them. However, she also said that her “deal-breaker with the Republican party” was that “if you mess with my community – you don’t give us equality and a fair shot – I’m coming after you.”
