Teen drama Riverdale is set to introduce its first bisexual character in the next season After first hitting screens earlier this year, the show will be returning this October, and the crew promised to solve the problem of the lack of thre LGBT visibility on screen, especially bisexual visibility, because the letter B from LGBT is represented much poorer than any other part of the community. Based on characters from Archie Comics, the series has yet to see a gay character, but there was a hint in the original book that one of the characters, Toni, may possibly move both ways of love. Speaking to Entertainment Today executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also hinted the new character could be trouble for Betty and Jughead’s relationship. He describes the character as vivacious and a little bit disrupter. As for whether Toni is bi or not, the producer teased that there is definitely something about her sexuality which needs to be explored. Vanessa Morgan was chosen to play Toni after the producers rejected her last year. They praised her talent but said that there was no character then which would be suitable for her to play.
And now there is such a character, so they called her back. Let’s see what it will b ring us
