The transgender actress and the pop diva are working on the secret common project, it has been revealed. Cox met Beyoncé at the Grammys this year and felt like a fan finally meeting her idol. She told People: “I was like, ‘I love you,’ and she’s like, ‘I know you do . . . I love you, too.’ And she’s like ‘Your Lip Sync Battle was amazing,’—she had seen I did Destiny’s Child.” And now she announced via Twitter that she and Bey are planning a collab. Yes it’s true. I am collaborating with @beyonce on a new project. #QueenBey herself. More details Sept. 6. #Beyonce #TransIsBeautiful,” Cox tweeted. She also spoke to Access Hollywood Live’s Kit Hoover about her nomination this year for an Emmy, as well as the Beyoncé collaboration saying she had no idea of how it came about. “I’m like, ‘Does she pick out, like, her biggest fans ever and let them work with her?,” trans actress said. Cox did offer some advice to anyone lucky enough to meet Queen Bey. She said to act calm and serene, and don’t show that you are nervous. I felt a sense of calm come over me,” Cox told Hoover of the meeting. She didn’t give up any other details of the secret project, but on Twitter she said more details will be unveiled on 6 September.
