Great British Bake Off fans were left disappointed Tuesday after a gay favourite was excluded from the show. This week saw the contestant take to caramel challenges, with some incredible sugar sculptures on top of the cake. But one contestant has to go every week and this time it was the 29-year-old gay architect named Tom. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith criticised the inside of his cake, as it crumbled away during the show stopper challenge. Despite being fancied and fawned over by viewers, but the love of audience did not save him. “I came unstuck in #CaramelWeek. So sorry to leave the tent, but honoured to have been a part of it all,” Tom wrote in Twitter. He posted a follow up Tweet to say he treasures every minute he spent on GBBO and people he met there are all incredible and worth watching them further.
