Hong Kong’s Planet Ally launches a new, life-changing human rights event – a Human Dignity Festival

Planet Ally is a non-profit global multimedia platform, committed to LGBTI and ally travel information and advocacy, which was founded in 2016. In the modern society, where homosexuality stays illegal in over 70 countries and punishable by death in 8 of them, it is very important for LGBT community to gather together, be informed and therefore, be safe. Mission of Planet Ally is to give help and support to LGBTQ communities online, on the ground and when travelling, building a strong, resilient “world of LGBTQ community and allies”.

On this ground, Planet Ally decided to go live a new, massive LGBTQ event – a Human Dignity Festival that aims to inspire and empower local and global citizens to collaborate on concrete ways to advance human rights and dignity. A two-day symposium, an online collaborative event and a series of salon events will take place in Hong Kong on October 14 – 15, 2017. This year’s inaugural event, during which a group of the world’s leading human rights advocates, including several LGBTI leaders taking chance to figure out concrete ways to achieve equality, will be settled in Hong Kong, but organizers inform that in coming years, the festival is planned to be held in different Asian cities.
