Beyonce confirmed starring in Lion King remake


The live action remake of Disney classic The Lion King is going to be on screens in 2019. Beyoncé has been confirmed as voicing the character of Nala and it will be the second experience of voicing for Bey. She used to be the voice of the character Queen Tara in Fox animated film Epic. It has been revealed in March that the pop diva was the top candidate for the role of Nala. Jon Favreau, the director, revealed that he would try his best to involve her. The entire cast has already been revealed by Disney Twitter account. In February, it was announced Donald Glover would be playing the main role of Simba.
James Earl Jones will be reprising his role of Mufasa from the original animated The Lion King. Gay comic Billy Eichner was announced in April as voicing the character of Timon. Seth Rogen will be at his side voicing the role of Pumbaa.
