Restaurant uses Caitlyn Jenner’s photos before and after transition as bathroom signs

Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill illustrated their male and female bathrooms with giant images of the trans celebrity pre- and post- transition. One shows the star representing the US in the 1976 Olympic Games when she was known as Bruce and another one shows her on a Vanity Fair cover when she introduced herself to the world as Caitlyn. Dallas Morning News editor Dom DiFurio took to Twitter to share an image of the bathroom doors. The restaurant’s Facebook page says the signs have been there since August. People reacted differently, but both sides, LGBT supporters and LGBT haters, considered such signs to be mildly-speaking inappropriate. DiFurio told the Daily Dot that the restaurant isn’t “seated in a progressive area” and that he “wouldn’t consider it a particularly great place to be LGBTQ.”
