The CBB winner known under the drag name Courtney Act denied that his former housemate, transgender TV presenter India Willoughby, is afraid of drag performers. The 51-year-old newsreader and Loose Women panelist said she couldn’t be around drag queens and refused to share space with Courtney aka Shane. “I completely understand India’s ‘dragphobia’ in the sense that, in the conversations we had, when I dressed one of the boys in the house up in drag, he came out and India froze and didn’t move,” Shane says, adding that he understands India and her attitude to drag culture, and even feels compassion to her.But while saying India explained being terrified of drag artists in the house, it emerged she had previously posed for photos with drag queens on Twitter. India herself said that she did not hate drag queens. She just had medical reasons to transition, gender dysphoria, and she wants other people to understand the difference between men who dress in woman’s clothes to entertain people and make them laugh and women who are trapped in male bodies and who are laughed at with no reason.
