Land Rover has taken back a car it loaned the player as part of a AU$850,000 (US$638,000) annual deal with Rugby Australia, according to the Daily Telegraph. It has been suggested that the company has taken away the car not to be associated with homophobia expressed by Folau in Instagram where bhe wrote that that ‘HELL’ was ‘God’s Plan’ for gay people. Folau did not receive any discipline for his comments from Rugby Australia or New South Wales Rugby. He refused to apologize for his comments and repeatedly cited anti-gay Biblical verses and said he was persecuted for his Christian faith. Folau may no longer have a Land Rover, but he’s apparently still getting around in his self-bought AU$500,000 Lamborghini.
