The streaming giant that made the world familiar with RuPaul is ready to spread the drag culture further, it has been revealed. Netflix teased new animated series ‘Super Drags’, which features a cast of drag queen superheroes. The show is produced by the company’s Brazilian content arm. Marcelo Pereira, executive producer of Super Drags, said in a statement to Estado that they are honored., proud and excited to work with Netflix and joked that if there is someone to be able to save the world, these are drag queens. “Thanks to Netflix we can take Brazilian animation and LGBTQ representation to the 190 countries that have access to the service. And we can also have lunch in a restaurant… and dream of a world where gays can bust the bad guys, not the other way around. Thank you, Netflix, for making us believe. We look forward to the next season for an all-you-can-eat restaurant,” Pereira said.
