Grindr is to fight with a problem of HIV in India

Gay dating app Grindr has 3.5 million users around the globe and now the app attracts their attention to launching HIV test locating services in countries where they currently don’t exist. For, example, in India. Grindr has launched the program in collaboration with Indian gender and sexuality organization Varta Trust and Chennai-based not-for-profit Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII). As some sexual experts suggest, hook-up apps like Grindr lead to accidental sexual contacts and as a consequence to spreading STDs in general and HIV\AIDS in part. So they feel some kind of responsible for preventing this disease among the users. Thanking to a collaboration between Grindr’s outreach program Grindr for Equality, Varta Trust and SAATHII, the dating app now directs users in India to the health and legal services locator hosted on Varta Trust’s website.
