Trudy Bermudez, an emergency medical technician for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), got down on one knee, looked her partner Tayreen Bonilla, the FDNY paramedic, in the eye, and popped the question in front of thousands of witnesses at the New York City Pride two weeks ago. Of course, the answer could be nothing but ‘yes’. FDNY congratulated their workers with engagement, adding in their post that there was at least one person whom the two literally brought back to life after the car accident when his heart stopped beating. Ken Taskent, who was at a classic car event in Brooklyn when he had a seizure, stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest, but the two wives-to-be reanimated him and now he feels alright. We guess he should send some flowers to his saviors congratulating them with such a great event in their lives.
